A Syracuse Restaurant Tradition

Francesca’s Cucina on North Salina Street, in the heart of Syracuse’s Little Italy, has been a Syracuse restaurant institution for over a decade. Countless guests have enjoyed Francesca’s modern take on traditional Italian recipes. The warm and inviting atmosphere of Francesca’s bar, dining rooms and courtyard complete the Francesca’s experience.

Grandma Francesca’s Pizza

The name Francesca’s Cucina means “Francesca’s Kitchen” in Italian and is named after our grandmother, Francesca. Francesca was known for her amazing cuisine and entertained countless guests in her home with warmth, hospitality and incredible food. But, only her closest friends and family were invited to share in her quiet weekend tradition, Saturday pizza.

Every Saturday Grandma Francesca made pizza. (2 pizzas actually because you always had to make enough to share with friends who stopped by.) This was no ordinary pizza. Like everything she made each pizza was assembled with the finest ingredients and incredible skill. The best imported meats, cheese and charcuterie topped her renowned marinara sauce and homemade dough.

Francesca’s Pizza and Italian Kitchen

Francesca’s Pizza and Italian Kitchen is a tribute to Grandma Francesca’s Saturday pizza. And, a fun casual way to enjoy some of the most popular Francesca’s dishes at home. Like Grandma Francesca’s pizza only the finest meats and cheese top our pies. The dough for our crisp and chewy crust is homemade from scratch. Our homemade sauce is made from the original Francesca’s recipes.

We are excited to open this second location. This spot in Liverpool offers hand tossed pizza as well as many of the favorite off of the original Francesca’s menu. We are excited and we hope you will be too. Taste the difference at Francesca’s Pizza and Italian Kitchen.
